🎒 TomToc Aviator-T33 Sling (3.5L) – A Surprisingly Capable Everyday Sling Bag

The Bag

I’ve been using the TomToc Aviator-T33 Sling Bag (3.5L) for a while now, and honestly, it’s become my go-to for daily outings. Whether I’m heading out to run errands, go for a walk, or just want something small on my back during a photo session — this little bag gets the job done.

What I Carry Daily

For daily use, here’s what I typically pack in the sling:

If I have my glasses on, I can even squeeze in a pretty large water bottle — just make sure the lid’s sealed tight. Seriously, don’t ask me how I know that…

Camera Carry Setup

When I go out for a casual photo walk, I leave the glasses at home and pack my Fujifilm X-S20.

It fits with either:

It’s not a padded camera bag, but for lightweight setups and quick sessions, it does the job. I also keep two spare SD cards in one of the inside pockets — they don’t take space, and they’re always good to have on hand.

Yes, It Fits a Nintendo Switch

If I want to kill time, I can also slide in a barebones Nintendo Switch 2 — no case, no attachments, nothing extra. It takes up almost all the space, but it fits.

Good to know, right?

Build, Comfort & Design

Comfort-wise, the strap is fine — not padded, which would’ve been nice — but because the whole bag is so light, I’ve had no real issues even on long walks.

The build is solid. It’s not the weather-resistant X-Pack version, so keep that in mind. But the zippers feel smooth, the materials feel durable, and the stitching is clean.

I went with the black colour, mainly to keep things low-key. I like bags that don’t scream “there’s a camera in here.”

Price & Value

The bag retails at around $50, but I got mine for around $41.

At that price? Solid deal.

Would I buy it at full price? Maybe — but I’d say wait for a sale if you can. At around $40 or less, this thing is a no-brainer.

Final Thoughts

The TomToc Aviator-T33 3.5L is one of those “doesn’t look like much, but over-delivers” bags.

It’s compact, durable, and more versatile than you’d think. Whether you’re carrying daily essentials, your camera, or just something for a quick walk around the city — this bag keeps up.

What I love:

  • Compact but surprisingly roomy

  • Good internal organization

  • Lightweight and comfortable

  • Discreet look — doesn’t attract attention

  • Great value when on sale

What I’d improve:

  • Add a little strap padding

  • Some water resistance would’ve been nice

Would I recommend it?

Absolutely — especially if you can grab it for around $40. For anyone looking for a minimalist, low-profile sling bag, it’s an easy yes.
